Voice on TikTok

Do — phone-shot & honest

  • Vertical 9:16 always. Captions baked-in (75% watch muted).
  • Hook in 0:00–0:02. Specific question, real face, real voice.
  • Founder shows up. So do real users (with consent). Avoid b-roll-only.
  • Use trending sounds when they fit the emotional tone — never when they don't.
  • Reply to comments via video reply. That's how reach compounds here.

Don't — try to look like a brand

  • No corporate voiceover. No stock music. No "trust us, we're an app."
  • No fake screen recordings. If you show the product, show the real product.
  • Don't chase every trend. Half the trends don't fit our tone — skip them.
  • Don't post fewer than 3× per week. The algorithm punishes silence harder here than anywhere.
  • No 4K cinematic. It reads as ad. We want it to read as "oh, real person".

How to implement

Claim the handle

Register @lifescribe.ai. Switch to Business account → category Apps. Lock email + 2FA.

Upload chrome assets

Profile: assets/lifescribe-app-icon.png at 200×200. Bio + link from section 02 — single link only, no Linktree.

Build the founder kit

Founder records weekly. Tools: phone front camera + a $40 lapel mic + the kitchen window. That's the kit. Resist the urge to upgrade.

Build the caption template

One CapCut/Premiere template: SF Pro Bold 80pt, white, 80% opacity black bar behind, bottom-third placement. Use it on every video. Consistency > novelty.

Pre-load 3 weeks of hooks

Write 12 hook questions in a doc before you record anything. Record 4–6 in one session. Edit weekly. Don't record one-at-a-time — the energy dies.

Set up Spark Ads

The two videos that perform best in week 1 → boost as Spark Ads (boosts the original post, not a fresh ad). Audience: 28–55, English-speaking, parent-related interests. Budget AU$30/day per video.

Get user-story consent on file

Build a 1-page consent template. Every user story you post needs a signed copy on file. First name + relationship only. No surnames, no addresses.

Track signal, not vanity

Metrics that matter: watch-through to 75%, saves, profile clicks, follows from non-followers. Likes are noise. Views are noise. Watch-time and saves are the truth.
