Voice on Instagram

Do — sound like a thoughtful friend

  • Speak in the second person. "Your dad." "Your grandmother."
  • Lean into specifics: kitchens, cars, songs, smells.
  • Write captions like notes you'd jot down at the kitchen table.
  • End with a single, small invitation — not a CTA stack.
  • Use sentence case. Periods, not exclamation points.

Don't — sound like a startup

  • No emoji walls. ✦ as a list bullet only, sparingly.
  • No "Did you know?", "Tap in!", "Drop a 🙏 if…"
  • No AI buzzwords: "harness", "leverage", "unlock", "supercharge".
  • No urgency. We are the opposite of FOMO.
  • Don't quote a story without permission and attribution.

Pull-quote post

Lena asked her dad one question. She got back a powder-blue Falcon, a summer in '74, and the name of the girl he almost married.

The stories are there. They just need an opening.

Always credit: "— [first name], [relationship]" with permission.

Carousel intro (slide 1 caption)

A small ritual that turned into a 4-hour conversation.

One prompt. One cup of tea. One story a week. Swipe →

Slides 2–5: prompt examples · Slide 6: download line.

Reel — 30 sec

Press record. Stay quiet. Let them tell it.

That's the whole technique. The stories take care of themselves.

Voiceover · soft piano · b-roll of hands, mug, window light.

Testimonial

From Margaret, 71, after finishing her vault on a Tuesday afternoon:

"My kids will hear my voice tell our story long after I'm gone."

Thank you, Margaret.

Always thank by name. Never mine for engagement.

How to implement

Switch to a Business profile

Settings → Account → Switch to professional account → Business. Category: Software. Connect to the LifeScribe AI Facebook page (built in Facebook.html) so cross-posting and Meta Ads work.

Upload the profile photo

Use assets/lifescribe-app-icon.png, exported at 320 × 320. Center the feather inside an 80% safe circle — Instagram will mask the corners.

Paste the bio exactly

Copy the bio from section 02. Use the ✦ glyph (U+2726) as the bullet — not a checkmark, never an emoji. Keep line breaks; they render on mobile.

Build six story highlights

Memories · Families · Prompts · Behind · Reviews · FAQ. Generate the highlight covers from the highlight asset in section 03. Each cover is a 1080×1920 cream tile with one serif glyph, centered.

Pre-load 9 grid posts before launch

Use the 3×3 grid in section 01 as the launch layout. Alternate cream / photo / teal so the grid reads as a quilt, not a billboard. Schedule via Meta Business Suite.

Post to the cadence in section 07

Post times: 9:00am and 7:30pm in the user's local time zone. Caption length: 60–180 characters. Always end with a single small invitation, not a CTA stack.

Templates live in Canva

Build a Canva brand kit using the swatches and fonts in shared/colors_and_type.css. Save 5 master templates: Question, Pull-quote, Carousel, Story, Testimonial. Lock the Playfair / Lora / Inter pairing.

Permissions before publishing

Any quote attributed to a real person ships only with written consent — handled in-app in the LifeScribe Sharing Settings. Screenshot the consent before you post. No exceptions.
