A small question this week, for someone you love:

"What was the kitchen like in the house you grew up in?"

You don't need a notebook. You don't need to know what to ask next. Just press record and stay quiet — the rest tells itself.
Question of the day

What did your mother's kitchen smell like on a Sunday afternoon?

Lena asked her dad one question. She got back a powder-blue Falcon, a summer in '74, and the name of the girl he almost married before her mom.

The stories are there. They just need an opening.

"He'd never told me about the Falcon. Forty years."

— Lena, daughter

Why we built LifeScribe

Most family stories don't disappear in some dramatic moment. They drift. A grandmother stops volunteering them. A father gets quieter. The cousins move away. And one day, a kid asks a question, and there's nobody left to answer.

We made an app that asks the questions for you. One a day, gently. Voice or text — your parent picks. The recordings live in a private vault that the family owns. Nothing public. Nothing sold. Nothing trained on.

If your parents are still here to ask — try it this weekend. The first month is on us. lifescribe.ai/free

Voice on Facebook

Do — write longer, write warmer

  • Open with a small, specific image. End with a small, specific invitation.
  • Aim for 80–220 words. Facebook rewards depth here.
  • Reply to comments by name within 24 hours. Hand-typed, not templated.
  • Use Reviews as social proof — link to /stories on the site.
  • Pin one evergreen "Why we built LifeScribe" post.

Don't — be a brand

  • No countdowns, no "Tag a friend who…", no engagement bait.
  • Avoid generic stock photography. Use only the V2 photo library.
  • Never repost a user's story without explicit written consent.
  • No automated DMs. Every message gets a human reply.
  • Don't run discount-led ads. Lead with the question, never the price.

How to implement

Create the Page in Meta Business Suite

Use a dedicated Business Manager account, never a personal one. Create page → category Software · App Page. Username: @lifescribeai. Add at least 2 admins (Founder + Marketing).

Upload chrome assets

Profile: assets/lifescribe-app-icon.png at 320×320. Cover: build the 820×312 cover from the spec in section 03 (teal gradient + headline + small photo inset). Mobile crop: keep all type within central 640×360.

Fill out About section in full

Paste copy from section 02 verbatim. Add Hours: "Replies within 24 hours, Mon–Fri." Add price range: $$. Add 2 milestones: App launched, 10,000 stories saved.

Set the action button

Add a Page button: "Use App" → linked to a smart-link landing page that detects iOS / Android / desktop and routes appropriately.

Connect Instagram & enable cross-post

Settings → Linked Accounts → Instagram. Enable cross-posting for feed posts and Reels. Stories stay platform-specific.

Pin the "Why we built it" post

Use the template in section 05. This is the first thing every visitor reads — keep it long, warm, and human.

Launch the private group

"The Stories We Keep — by LifeScribe AI". Membership questions: 1) Who are you saving stories for? 2) Do you agree to keep the group respectful? Approve manually for the first 90 days.
