Rules and conditions for using the LifeScribe platform.
By accessing, downloading, or using the LifeScribe platform (including www.trylifescribe.com and the LifeScribe mobile application, collectively the "Platform"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.
LifeScribe reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
You agree to provide accurate information, maintain security of your credentials, notify us of any unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
LifeScribe may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful conduct, with reasonable notice.
You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or submit to the Platform ("User Content"), including voice recordings, photographs, stories, and other materials.
By submitting User Content, you grant LifeScribe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Platform's services. This license does not extend to selling your personal content to third parties.
LifeScribe is an AI-powered platform. By creating your account, you consent to the following AI processing that powers core Platform features:

You agree not to upload content that: violates any law or regulation; infringes third-party intellectual property; contains malicious code; is obscene, harassing, or defamatory; impersonates any person; or promotes violence or illegal activities.
The Platform, including software, designs, and the proprietary Memory Artisan™ engine, is owned by LifeScribe and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.
Content generated by AI features (transformed narratives, illustrations, voice clones) is provided for your personal use as part of your subscription.
Subscription plans are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Pricing and plan details are presented in the app prior to purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date through your Apple ID account settings.
Refund requests are governed by Apple's refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.
You agree not to: violate any applicable laws; interfere with Platform operations; attempt unauthorized access to Platform systems; use automated tools without permission; reverse engineer Platform software; or engage in activity that harms LifeScribe's operations, reputation, or other users.
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy and Data Storage Policy, incorporated by reference.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on or sharing it publicly.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIFESCRIBE'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeScribe and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.
ANY DISPUTE ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL BE RESOLVED THROUGH BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Utah.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Data Storage Policy, Cookie Policy, and Arbitration Agreement, constitute the entire agreement.
