Your Stories, Their Inheritance — Shared Forever

LifeScribe's Family Vault lets you share memoir chapters with unlimited family members. Viewers don't need subscriptions — they access your Life Book free, forever.

The Family Sharing Problem (Solved)

You're creating a memoir to preserve your legacy for future generations. But what good is a memoir if family members can't easily access it?

Traditional memoir problems:

LifeScribe's Family Vault solves all of this.

Once you share a chapter to the Vault, family members access it instantly via web browser (vault.trylifescribe.com) — no app download required, no subscription needed. They can read, comment, and bookmark chapters. You control who sees what. It's like a private family library that lasts generations.

Family Vault vs Family Hub: What's the Difference?

LifeScribe has TWO family sharing features. Here's how they differ:

Viewer Subscription Required? ❌ NO — viewers access free forever ✅ YES — all participants need active subscriptions
Primary Use Case Sharing YOUR stories with family (read-only for them) Collaborative multi-person memoir (everyone contributes)
Who Can Add Chapters? Only you (the creator) All family members with subscriptions
Ideal For Grandparents sharing with grandkids, parents with adult children Multi-generational family book projects

"My grandkids (ages 8-16) log into my Family Vault from their tablets and read my chapters about growing up during the Civil Rights Movement. They comment with questions, and I record follow-up chapters answering them. It's like a multi-generational conversation happening asynchronously. They're learning history through MY lived experience, not textbooks."

— William J., 74, grandfather with 45 chapters shared in Family Vault

Who Benefits Most from Family Vault?

Grandparents Sharing with Grandchildren

Grandkids access your stories on their terms (phones, tablets, laptops). They can read at their own pace, revisit favorite chapters, and engage when they're curious — not just during visits.

Parents Creating Legacy for Adult Children

Your adult kids are busy. Instead of forcing them to read your memoir all at once, they access chapters whenever they have time. New chapters appear automatically when you share them.

Families Separated by Distance

Children live across the country or internationally? Family Vault bridges the gap. Everyone accesses the same content simultaneously, creating shared connection despite physical distance.

Multi-Generational Families

Great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, children, grandchildren — all can access appropriate chapters. Share age-appropriate content with younger viewers.

Families Dealing with Illness or End-of-Life

When time is limited, Family Vault ensures your stories are immediately accessible. No waiting for book printing. Share chapters as you create them.

Real Families Using Family Vault

"My mom has dementia. Last year, she recorded 30 chapters while she still could. Now, even though her memory is fading, we read her Life Book chapters to her. She smiles and says 'Did I really do that?' It's bittersweet but precious. My kids (her grandkids) read the chapters on their own and ask me questions about her younger days."

— Carlos M., 58, son preserving mother's stories

"I'm a military family — my kids have lived in 7 different countries. Family Vault keeps them connected to their grandparents' stories despite constant moves. When we're stationed overseas, the kids log in and read Grandpa's chapters about growing up on a farm in Iowa. It grounds them in their roots."

— Lisa T., 43, military spouse and mother

"My father passed away 3 months after creating his LifeScribe account. He only recorded 12 chapters, but those 12 chapters are gold. My siblings and I (we're spread across 4 states) all have access through Family Vault. We read them when we miss him. My niece, who was only 5 when he died, can now 'know' her grandfather through his own words."

— Rebecca D., 51, daughter who lost her father
